Six members of the music ministry at Catholic Campus Ministry at Old Dominion University attended NPM’s Guitar & Ensemble Institute, July 19-23 at Marydale Retreat Center in Erlanger Kentucky. The program included workshops in voice, guitar, percussion, keyboard, and ensemble direction, as well as prayer services, staff concert, open mic night, and new music repertoire showcase. The ODU CCM group conducted Wednesday evening prayer service and performed during open mic night. MJ Sargent, Meg Thompson and Marc Thompson also performed separately during open mic night. For the second year in a row MJ Sargent was selected as psalmist for the Mass that culminated the week of retreat and workshops.
